The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has declared that no amount of money, including a sum as large as $1 billion, could ever persuade him to venture into politics.
He made this known while ministering at the Day Five impartation service of the church’s annual convocation, Shiloh 2025.
Recalling past warnings to members of the church, Oyedepo said he had foreseen turbulent times ahead. “In 2015, I warned the church that trouble was coming. Didn’t trouble come?” he asked.
He stressed that political engagement falls completely outside his divine assignment, adding that financial inducement would not change his conviction. “If you gave me 1 billion dollars, I would not even go near politics. It is off my calling. Those who are not called there will lose their dignity and respect. They will lose everything”, the bishop stated.
Oyedepo encouraged church members to remain committed to their God-given purpose, explaining that true authority and impact are only achievable within the boundaries of one’s calling.
According to him, fulfillment and dominion come when individuals operate in the areas divinely assigned to them, where they are empowered to “rule their world” and take their place in what he described as God’s end-time army.
He further spoke about the urgency of the present global situation, describing the world as being overwhelmed by darkness and in dire need of divine solutions.
Quoting scripture, he said, “The world is groaning in darkness, but as embedded in Romans 8:19, the world is waiting for the earnest manifestations of the children of God.”
The cleric added that a new generation of believers would rise to provide answers to national and global challenges, drawing parallels with biblical figures known for wisdom and leadership. “The army of God is about to emerge to proffer solutions to national crises in the order of Joseph and Daniel. It is the day of what eyes have not seen or ears heard,” he further said.
Shiloh 2025 began on December 9 and is scheduled to end on December 14, 2025, at the Faith Tabernacle in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, with thousands of worshippers gathering for teachings, impartation, and spiritual renewal.
