Regina Daniels Threatens to Expose Senator Ned Nwoko in Escalating Marital Crisis

In a dramatic escalation of one of Nigeria’s most closely watched celebrity marriages, actress Regina Daniels has issued stark warnings to her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, threatening to expose allegations of murder, fraud, and land grabbing if he continues what she describes as harassment and attempts to destroy her reputation.

The 24-year-old Nollywood star took to Instagram on Monday morning with explosive allegations against the Delta North Senator, claiming she has been “trapped since age 17” in a relationship marked by manipulation and intimidation. The marriage, which began in 2019 when Regina was barely 17 and Nwoko was 59, has now descended into a bitter public battle that has captivated Nigerian social media.

In her Instagram post, Regina accused Nwoko of introducing her to the drug ecstasy (Molly) to satisfy him sexually, adding that the drug made their sexual encounters “wild,” which she described as his preference. She further claimed that Nwoko often takes Viagra to improve his performance during sex and that she had rushed him to the hospital multiple times after he became unconscious from taking the sex enhancement drugs.

“I rushed you to the hospital countless times,” the actress wrote in her post. “If you continue to harass me, I will expose your alleged crimes, including murder cases, land grabbing, and fraud. I have withheld such revelations only out of respect as the father of my kids.”

Regina also alleged that Nwoko is trying to ruin her publicly and privately because he understands that damaging her reputation threatens her livelihood. In a separate Instagram story, she accused the senator of attempting to shut down her Instagram account, claiming he “always wanted it down if it wasn’t promoting” him.

Senator Nwoko has maintained that the marital breakdown stems from Regina’s alleged substance abuse, claiming that medical and toxicology reports circulating on social media are genuine and show dangerously high levels of several substances in her system. His office claimed she was rushed unconscious to a hospital on October 3 following a drug overdose.

However, Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja has distanced itself from viral posts regarding an alleged medical report linked to Regina, raising questions about the authenticity of some circulating documents.

The conflict has also drawn in other members of Nwoko’s polygamous household. Laila, identified as Nwoko’s fifth wife, recently entered the fray, accusing Regina of introducing her to drugs approximately six years ago and making allegations of lesbianism. Regina dismissed these claims as “useless and hurtful.”

What began as a fairy-tale union in 2019 has descended into a series of explosive accusations, suggesting the relationship may be nearing a breaking point. When the couple married, it raised eyebrows given the significant age gap, with Regina barely 17 while Ned was 59.

The timeline of their troubles dates back months, with Regina deleting photos of her husband from Instagram in February and March 2025, introducing herself only as “Regina Daniels” without mentioning Nwoko’s name. By late October, she was flaunting a new mansion on social media, writing “In my house, I am a queen,” and claiming she bought it for herself and her family.

In early November, Regina accused Nwoko of ordering the arrest of her siblings amid their marital conflict, pleading “Leave my family alone, Ned, and leave me alone too, please”.

The public nature of these allegations has raised serious questions about power dynamics, age-appropriate relationships, and the treatment of young women in marriages with significant age and wealth disparities. Regina’s claims of being introduced to drugs as a teenager by a much older partner have sparked particular concern among child welfare advocates and women’s rights groups.

Senator Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the Nigerian Senate, has not yet responded to today’s specific allegations regarding criminal activities. The claims of murder, fraud, and land grabbing remain unverified, and no formal charges have been filed.

As this high-profile marriage continues to unravel in the public eye, both parties remain entrenched in their positions—with reputations, livelihoods, and the welfare of their two young sons hanging in the balance. What was once celebrated as a love story has transformed into a cautionary tale being played out across Nigerian media, with no resolution in sight.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has issued a direct and explosive threat to her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko: stop the harassment or face public exposure of alleged serious crimes.
