Harry Kane scored twice on Friday to reach 100 goals for Bayern Munich as the German champions continued their perfect start to the Bundesliga season with a 4-0 win over Werder Bremen.
Playing his 104th game for Bayern, Kane set a new record as the fastest player to score 100 goals with a club in Europe’s top-five leagues, surpassing the previous mark of 105 matches held jointly by Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland. The England striker is averaging two goals per game in the current Bundesliga campaign.

Bayern celebrated Oktoberfest’s first weekend in style as Kane’s brace, along with goals from Jonathan Tah and Konrad Laimer, secured their fifth win in five league matches. Kane had early chances, missing narrowly and then being denied by Arsenal loanee Karl Hein, before Tah gave Bayern the lead with a stylish backheel finish from Luis Diaz’s cross in the 22nd minute.
Kane equalized just before halftime with a penalty after drawing a foul from Marco Friedl. Twenty minutes into the second half, he converted a Diaz assist to bring up his century. Laimer added Bayern’s fourth three minutes from time, but the night belonged to Kane.

The former Tottenham striker has now scored 15 goals in eight appearances across all competitions this season. His blistering form has fueled speculation about a potential move to Barcelona or a Premier League return, though Bayern’s sporting director Christoph Freund dismissed the rumors as gossip.
“There are always plenty of rumours about Bayern Munich players, but when you see how much fun Harry is having here and how hard he is working, then I think and hope he will be staying with us for a long time,” Freund said. He added that the 32-year-old is currently “the best Harry Kane we’ve ever seen.”
