According to a statement issued on Friday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala, the governors are expected to begin arriving in Gusau later in the day ahead of the closed-door discussions scheduled for Saturday. “Governor Dauda Lawal extends a warm welcome to his counterparts, the governors of the Peoples Democratic Party,” the statement said. “The governors are convening today (Friday) for an important session of the PDP Governors Forum. Governor Lawal will host a dinner this evening, ahead of tomorrow’s strategic meeting.”
The spokesperson further explained that the meeting would serve as a platform for party leaders to address urgent political matters, strengthen internal cohesion, and explore collaborative efforts for developmental programs across PDP-controlled states.
