Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Sunday reportedly stormed the Green Legacy Hotel, located within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library premises in Abeokuta, Ogun State, arresting several youths suspected of internet fraud.

According to eyewitnesses, the EFCC team, believed to be from the agency’s Lagos directorate, carried out the raid in the early hours during a pool party at the hotel. Over 20 luxury cars and other valuables were allegedly seized.

Vitalis Ortese, Managing Director of Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Ventures, confirmed that “an incident” occurred but declined to give details, saying the circumstances were still being verified.

When contacted, EFCC Lagos Zonal Command spokesperson Ayo Oyewole said he was unaware of the operation but promised to provide an update. The anti-graft agency has yet to issue an official statement on the arrests or seized items.
