Nigerian international winger Moses Simon has officially joined Paris FC from Ligue 1 rivals Nantes, the capital club announced on Wednesday.
Simon, 29, signed a three-year contract with Paris FC as the club gears up for its return to the French top-flight for the first time since the 1978–79 season.
The move comes after a major shake-up in the club’s ownership structure, with the influential Arnault family and Austrian energy drinks giant Red Bull taking control in November. Red Bull’s global football operations are now overseen by former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp.
During his six-year stint with Nantes, Simon made 201 appearances and netted 37 goals. While the financial details of the transfer remain undisclosed, Paris FC’s sporting director, François Ferracci, confirmed that Simon was a top target for the club.
“Moses was a priority for us, and he has shown a real interest in our project despite receiving many offers from other clubs,” Ferracci said.
Simon’s arrival adds experience and firepower to Paris FC’s squad as they prepare to compete in Ligue 1 after decades away from the elite division.
