President Bola Ahmed Tinubu welcomed a number of high-profile guests at his Lagos residence on Saturday as part of the ongoing celebrations for Eid-el-Kabir.

Among those who visited the president were former Delta State governor, James Ibori, and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu.

Also present at the gathering were renowned businessman and billionaire, Razak Okoya, accompanied by his wife, Shade Okoya, and their son. The visit formed part of the series of engagements the president has held since arriving in Lagos on May 27.

President Tinubu, who is spending an extended period in the state, recently took part in the 50th anniversary ceremony of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

In addition to his participation in the regional celebration, he also commissioned multiple development initiatives aimed at advancing infrastructural and socio-economic progress.

According to sources close to the presidency, Tinubu is expected to resume official duties in the Federal Capital Territory after the conclusion of the Sallah holidays.

In his message to the nation marking Eid-el-Kabir, Tinubu called on Nigerians to pray fervently for continued peace and security in the country. He also urged the public to maintain their dedication to the ideals of unity and national advancement.

The president expressed his appreciation for the resilience and sacrifices made by citizens over the past year. He reassured Nigerians of his government’s ongoing commitment to protecting their physical, social, and economic welfare, while emphasizing that the foundation for sustained development is steadily being laid.
